Host an extern

CONNECT2Careers (C2C) is supporting wages for 50 young adults to work on short-term projects during their winter and spring breaks. These externships provide youth with foundational work experiences while they continue to pursue their education and offer employers extra support for small projects and a chance to strengthen community relationships. Young adults will be provided intensive, pre-externship training prior to starting work.

Wages (22 hours per employee per break) will be covered by C2C.

  • Winter break: December – January
  • Spring break: March – April
  • Employers may choose to host during one or both breaks
  • Employers are welcome, but not required, to extend long-term opportunities to their externs upon completion of the program

Employers will select externs at a specialized recruitment event in November for winter break and in February for spring break.
